I dont mean to be harsh because it was a good animation over all, but it is completely undeserving of the Maddness title. The characters were about the only thing that resembled the series we have all come to know and love. The majority of this I could NOT get Dragon Ball Z out of my mind, hell some of the sounds were directly copied from the series. The focus on energy attacks and swords was distinctly not "Maddness" As pointed out in other reviews, this was much slower than the true movies. As for my last point of critisim, what's the deal with the dialog? "Maddness" is about telling the story through violence and an occasional narrative. You have a full blown dialog going and it became irritating to put it mildly.
Enough of the bad.
Given a different name, and subsequent art style, this would have been a 8 or 9 star animation. My biggest complaint was that it resembled DBZ while being titled "Maddness" Beyond that, the fights, the special effects, everything else was superb. Again work on those awkward slow points and you have one damn good animation.

mario kills the dragon thing with a knife? completely out of character for mario, stylistically and everything. it felt wrong and makes it seem like you couldnt think of any better way for him to defeat the dragon. otherwise, it was mediocre, nothing outstanding about it but it wasnt bad.
I thought this was pretty good. I laughed, especially at the misshapen baby. It was original, it was mostly clean, and sure, it was a bit crude, but that's not an excuse to rate this a 0. clockcrew stuff deserves 0's. keep that in mind next time you feel like rating something that actually looks like it took some effort.

Black Friday is the day after thanksgiving, a "shopping holiday" so i was expecting some kind of parody to that. this was...quite different. I'd like to ask if the concept behind this is that the tv's are slowly possessing the people? that seemed to be the case, as the coloration and tendrils grew, more tv's popped up. the only one that i cant really figure out is the scene with the headless person. it showed up once and wasn't a reoccurring theme like the rest, so what was its meaning?
I loved this and i hated it. your animations are so smooth, the gun play was pretty good a the mood/style was great. why did i say i hated it then? STICKFIGURES!!!! this flash deserves SO much more than stickfigures! even marginally more detailed stickfigures would have landed this a 9 from me. I lost track of the main character about 3-4 times because there was no way to distinguish him from the rest! Dude, you have talent! work on your charcters!

You and this flash have brought to light the deepest and darkest fears of this country. I am literally on the verge of tears because i KNOW how absolutely possible this scenario is. It is truly a dark time in the world and while we need all the joy and happiness we can get, we also need the grim reminders that the world is not ok.
The flash it self is fantastic, incredibly smooth and articulated. The style is fantastic and I don't know what could be improved upon if anything. Congrats on and amazing work, it really deserves the 4.75 it has.
My only real beef with it is...she's blond, heh, she should be brunette :P
How does most of the stuff fit in here on newgrounds? it just does. If anything i think this should inspire its own category or collection. WordArt, it could be really interesting.

Not really a "Maddness" animation

one thing that really bugged me...

not even going to try to hide my disapointment
